Never did manage to make any postings on the wiki thing! Tried for a couple hours and just couldn't get it to work.

wikis and such

I just love Wikis. Really I do. I read Wikipedia all the time. The only real potential problem with them is accuracy, and at times relevancy. I don't know how much the library would be able to use them - perhaps for book discussion groups or for people who wanted to share the kinds of books that they like to read.

I looked through delicious and the social-networking aspect is not for me. The 'favorites' listing on my computer seems to be all that I really need. Some people might find it useful though.

My username is surewhatever. Twitter seems like it would be more appealing to younger people.

RSS feeds

I have a minimal need for RSS feeds but it's nice to know that they're out there. I took a look at Topix.net and Syndic8.com and the rest. Little bit too much information for me but it's nice to know it's there.

bloglines and stuff

the bloglines website is somewhat interesting. I had a very hard time adding the BBC news website that I wanted, but eventually it all worked out. I have a minimal need for RSS feeds but it is nice to know about what other people are doing. My blogline webaddress is:
